What exhibitions are on view?

For more information on our current exhibitions, visit the Exhibitions page of our website.

I read that you have a large collection of Remington and Russell bronzes. Are they on display?

The Great Plains Art Museum does have a large collection of Remington and Russell bronzes. For space and conservation reasons they are not always on display. Before planning a trip to the museum, we encourage you to contact the museum or visit the Exhibitions page of our website to learn more about what is on view.

Do you give tours?

Yes! Go to our Plan Your Visit page to learn more about booking a tour.

Do you rent out your space for special events?

Yes, but only to University of Nebraska entities. Please visit the Facility Rental page of our website to learn more.

Do you sell artwork?

No. Please contact the artist directly to purchase any artwork on view at the museum.

I would like to donate an artwork to the museum. How do I do that?

Thank you for your interest in helping us grow our collection! Please contact the GPAM Director (ashley.wilkinson@unl.edu) for more information on our process for reviewing artwork donations. Please do not bring your artwork to the museum before you have received authorization from the GPAM Director.

I have an artwork that has been in my family for years. Can you tell me more about the artists and artwork? Can you tell me how much it is worth?

While we would be happy to tell you more about artists and artwork in our permanent collection, we cannot provide research services or assess the value of your artwork. If you would like to have your artwork assessed, visit the American Society of Appraisers website (www.appraisers.org) to find an appraiser in your area.

I would like to have an exhibition at the Great Plains Art Museum. How do I do that?

GPAM schedules exhibitions two years in advance. If you would like to submit a portfolio of your work to be considered for a potential exhibition, send your information to the GPAM Director via email (ashley.wilkinson@unl.edu) or mail.

How do I reproduce an image from the GPAM collection?

Direct all image use and rights and reproductions requests to the GPAM Collections Manager (cseger2@unl.edu).
