The Great Plains Art Museum and the offices of the Center for Great Plains Studies are housed in 1155 Q St, Hewit Place, on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's City Campus. (See full campus map)

Off-street parking is available at Que Place Parking Garage, next to Hewit Place. The garage entrance is at the northeast corner of 11th and Q streets. 

Tours

We offer guided and self-guided tours. Please reach out to Education and Outreach Associate Dominique Ellis at dellis25@unl.edu or 402-472-3964 with any questions.

Self-guided tours are also available to groups who wish to tour the museum at their own pace. If you plan to bring in a group (or multiple groups) of 10 or more for a self-guided visit, we ask that you fill out our online tour form so we can be prepared for your arrival.

Great Plains Art Museum Tour Request

Tour type
Self-guided tours are available to all who wish to tour the museum at their own pace. If you plan to bring in a group of 10 or more for a self-guided visit, we ask that you complete this form so we can be prepared for your arrival. If your group contains less than 10, you do not need to fill out this form.
Guided tours are available with a Great Plains Museum of Art staff member. If you are a UNL university course, please put your course number and a brief description of the course in the additional comments or special requests section.

Date: The museum is open Tuesday–Saturday, 10 AM–5 PM, and is closed major U.S. holidays, University breaks, and home football game Saturdays.

This number does not include chaperones; please list those when prompted below.

For PreK–12 groups, we prefer one chaperone per 10 students. Please list below the number of chaperones you will be bringing, and museum staff will be touch if we have any questions or requests.
